Black Jack Cannabis Strain Review And Pics. The Black Jack marijuana strain produces hard buds with huge, grape-like buds that are completely covered with crystals. The smoke from the Black Jack marijuana strain is heavy and flavorful, and produces an exceptionally long-lasting high. Black Jack is a one or two hit wonder. The flower is crisp, and glistening with tricomes that cover every centimeter of the buds. I've experienced consistent elevations with BlackJack, and I'll. Blackjack, or “ Black Jack,” is an indica dominant hybrid (70% indica/30% sativa) strain created through a powerful cross of the infamous Jack Herer X Black Domina strains. If you're looking for an uplifted head high that's pretty well balanced with a relaxing body buzz, you've found it! Don’t be fooled by Black Jack’s name, it wasn’t derived from the inclination it’s the strain to try, before playing the card game of black jack.
Marijuana Strain Name: Black Jack
Review by:Mat Lee
Score: 7/10
From:Growers Outlet
Farm:Two Heads Co.
Harvest Date: 5/19/15
Type: 70 / 30 (Indica)
Content: THC 14.8% CBD .2%
Genetics: Black Domina X Jack Herer
Appearance: Damn these buds are dusty looking for sure. Nice, tight, and dense. How do your buds feel? The dark green is a nice background to the forest of winter wonderland. I’m surprised the labeled THC content isn’t higher for what it looks like. Then again, what have we learned about going by the numbers? That’s right. You can’t really trust them.
Looks to be more flower bud flesh than hairs, which is cool. Hairs are pretty and all, but unless you are breeding plants, they don’t really offer much. At least that’s what the general consensus online is at the moment. I wonder if anyone has actually ran some pistils through a GCMS. It would be interesting to see if there are any terpenes and cannabinoids in there.

Smell: There’s something sweet, something sour and something that almost smells grapey in this Black Jack weed—which is interesting, or at least my nose thinks so. It loves purple weed. The sour grapes of wrath, which is what I’m expecting this to taste like out of the bong. It’s a very distinct odor, and the more I smell it, the more I like it.
Flavor: The smoke through the bong is thick and almost spicy, with a sweet citrusy background to it. Nice thick smoke, extra smooth on the pull and snap, but expands nicely once it hits the lungs. Nice and tasty like any 8 should be.
High: Bong rips are an immediate indica like slowing down of everything into a calm hazy couch cushion fog of Jack Black goodness. This is the kind of smoke you wanna roll up into a few joints and clam bake a tent with. Tastes great all the way through. Definitely enjoying this in a spliff, as you get a more pronounced flavor when put against the backdrop of the danish export.

Overall: Another fantastic top shelf strain from Two Heads, and found over at Growers Outlet. If you have a chance to check out this strain in the recreational or medical market, I highly recommend it. Especially if it’s grown as nice as the batch I got was. Whatever it is Two Heads is doing, definitely keep it up. You are producing some massive stuff stoners like. On behalf of all top shelf smokers within the reach of your product, thank you for being awesome.

Back when I first started smoking weed, I didn’t know about the differences in cannabis strains. As cannabis became more mainstream, I grew to appreciate the nuances in smell and effects from different cannabis cultivars. I was no expert, but with the little knowledge I did have, I zeroed in on one particular strain: Sour Diesel.
Touted as a potent sativa-leaning hybrid strain, Sour Diesel has a cool name and a diesel-like aroma. It took me a while to appreciate the pungent nature of this strain, but I always loved Sour Diesel’s accessibility and effects. This common strain can be found in most pot shops, albeit with minor differences in smell and potency.
Sour Diesel’s Hazy History
The details about the origins of this popular strain are shrouded in mystery. Many growers have claimed the Sour Diesel strain their creation. This hybrid sativa and indica strain became popular during the mid-1990s in the East Coast.
Its genetics have been rumored to come from Chemdog and Chem 91 as well as Northern Lights and other Diesel strains. Despite its hazy origins, Sour Diesel has been loved by many including myself for many years.
A High-Octane Diesel Kick
Sour Diesel’s gasoline scent comes from its unique terpene profile. Terpenes are essential oil compounds found in many plants and herbs. Sour Diesel’s most common terpenes include:
- Myrcene
- Limonene
- Beta-caryophyllene
- Pinene
- Humulene
- Linalool
- Terpinolene
Sour Diesel’s terpenes combine in a blend of sweet orange, lavender, pine, woody, earthy, peppery, and skunky notes. When smoking Sour Diesel, be prepared to have a strong a lingering smell around for a while.
Uplifting and Relaxing
I found that Sour Diesel was a formidable strain to medicate with. Its THC levels start around 15% and can go above 20%. With low CBD and CBG levels, this sativa strain will definitely get you baked. For me, Sour Diesel elicited immediate calmness and euphoria.
I’ve used Sour Diesel to wind down or give me energy for a productive day. Not only is this strain a treat to consume, but it had strong mood-elevating effects. It’s the ideal strain for consuming alone or sharing with your smoke buddies.

Sour Diesel’s effects are typically cerebral in nature. Expect to feel a pleasant and slightly detached feeling when smoking Sour Diesel. The strain is not heavy on the body high, but it has enough potency to relax the mind and muscles.

Sour Diesel’s cannabinoid content, scent, and bag appeal can vary from plant to plant. My strains were consistently studded with trichomes, the resinous glands that contain THC, CBD, and other cannabinoids. The flower buds are often spindly and fluffy with tufts of orange hairs.
Sour Diesel is one of the most popular strains across the nation. It’s sweet and slightly acrid smell is beloved by many. It can be an acquired taste. Sour Diesel provides a boost of energy and focus for me. Although I don’t smoke it quite as much anymore, it’s always a strain I can depend on to relax and enjoy a form of entertainment or be creative.
